Usual and Customary Charges for transportation to the closest Hospital or medical facility capable of providing adequate medical treatment
If hospitalized more than 7 consecutive days, transportation expenses to return an unattended dependent home
If hospitalized more than 7 consecutive days and you are alone, transportation expenses for a bedside visit
Medical Repatriation Classic Basic
The cost of one-way economy transportation
Commercial air upgrade due to your condition
Other covered land or air transportation like a commercial stretcher, medical escort, or air ambulance
Return of Remains Classic Basic
Expenses for minimally necessary casket or air tray
Preparation and transportation of remains home or to the place of burial

Examples of Covered Reasons*

Covered reasons are outlined by your plan and decide what can be covered. Remember, exclusions outlined in your plan can affect covered reasons. For example, mountaineering is excluded from TravelSafe plans. If you require an emergency medical evacuation as a result of mountaineering, you may not receive coverage from this benefit.

Injury or sickness if acute or life threatening when appropriate care, treatment or facilities are not available locally
Medical Repatriation Classic Basic
You sustain an illness or injury which is acute or life threatening and it is deemed medically necessary to bring you home for ongoing treatment
Return of Remains Classic Basic
Death occurring during a trip

Together, the local attending Legally Qualified Physician and authorized travel assistance company will determine if an Emergency Medical Evacuation is necessary.

The closest hospital or medical facility capable of providing treatment.

You may choose to be transported to a Hospital in any city in the United States of America. However, the maximum amount payable is limited to the cost of transportation to your primary place of residence.

If the local attending Legally Qualified Physician and the authorized travel assistance company cannot adequately assess your need for medical evacuation or transportation, your plan may cover expenses incurred for a physician to be dispatched to you to make the assessment. Benefits will be paid for the travel expenses incurred and medical services provided by this physician.

Seven Corners provides 24 Hour Worldwide Assistance, a non-insurance service included in this plan. They will help arrange the return of remains if necessary.

The Pre-Existing Condition Limitation does not apply to the Emergency Medical Evacuation or Return of Remains coverage.

All claims should be presented to the Claim Administrator for TravelSafe Insurance.

Prior to departure, you should notify a family member or loved one of your coverage. You can do this by providing them with a copy of your Receipt of Purchase and Plan Confirmation.
